The candidates desirous of applying Courses in the affiliated Government Law Colleges can obtain the application form by paying the prescribed fee, from The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University . Application forms can also be obtained in-person from the respective Principals of the affiliated Government Law Colleges.

The candidates desirous to get application by post can obtain the application form by submitting a requisition letter, mentioning the course to which they wish to apply, along with requisite fee addressed to the “The Registrar, The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University, ‘Poompozhil’, No.5, Dr. D.G.S. Dinakaran Salai, Chennai – 600 028” .

Candidates shall submit the application fee by way of Demand Draft drawn, in favour of “The Registrar, The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University, Chennai”, from any of the Nationalised Banks, payable at Chennai.

Fee Concession:

For SC/ST Candidates Only. - They are required to pay the Processing Fee of 250/-. The candidates to receive the application in person or by post, shall produce a photocopy of recently obtained Community Certificate [duly attested by Gazatted Officer], along with requisite fee by way of demand draft.

Note: The concession is not applicable to the candidates belonging to SC/ST Community from Other States out of Tamil Nadu.

Submission of Duly Filled-In Application Form

Duly filled in application form along with the requisite attested enclosures may be submitted either in person or by post, to this University on or before the last date, addressed to: The Chairman, Law Admissions - 2015, The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University, “Poompozhil”, 5, Dr. D.G.S. Dinakaran Salai, Chennai–600 028.

Application can also be submitted to the Principal of the concerned Law Colleges in-person, on or before the last date.


The Photocopies of the following certificates (duly attested) should be enclosed along with the application form for admission

  • 3 year B.L., Degree: Degree/Provisional Certificate alongwith the Mark Statements including consolidated mark statement for all the 3 years of the course must be enclosed. If a candidate has not obtained the Degree or Provisional Certificate, he/she should produce a certificate of pass in the qualifying examinations obtained from the Principal of the College or Head of the Department of the College where he/she studied.

  • 5 year B.A.,B.L., Degree: Mark statement of H. Sc. (10+2) or Equivalent examination, Transfer Certificate and Conduct Certificate.

  • Copy of the S.S.L.C. mark sheet showing date of birth.

  • Recently obtained Community Certificate [for ST, SC(Arunthathiar), SC(Others), BC (including BC Muslims) and MBC/DNC candidates only].

  • Special Category Certificate:(if applicable) Children of Ex-Servicemen should obtain the certificate from the appropriate Authority in the prescribed format see Annexure No. V which is enclosed in the application. Grandchildren of Ex-Servicemen are not eligible to avail the quota under ‘the Children of Ex-Servicemen Category.

  • ion Loan to the SC/ST students provided by the Govt. of India.
