Admissions under DASA Scheme

Admissions for Foreign Nationals/Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs)/Non- Resident Indians (NRIs)/ Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) under Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA) Scheme of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India for Undergraduate programmes in Engineering/Architecture/ Planning for the Academic year 2019-20 to National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), Schools of Planning and Architecture (SPAs), and other premier Technical Institutions in India will be facilitated by MNNIT Allahabad.

Non-Resident Indians, Foreign Nationals, Persons of Indian Origin are admitted for Centrally Funded Institutions (CFIs) under Direct Admission of Students Abroad DASA scheme from the year 2001-2002.

The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India has ensured the coordination of the admission process of DASA scheme to National Institute of Technology Karnataka NITK, Surathkal from academic year 2010-2011. Till date Students from More than 30 countries have been admitted under DASA.

DASA application is an online process. SAT is mandatory for DASA application. DTU Delhi and IIIT Delhi has been added in DASA scheme this year.

Yes, you are eligible for DASA., provided you should have already applied/appeared for any one of the following four examinations, 1. Kishore Vaignayic Protshan Yojana (KVPY), 2. IIT JEE, 3. AIEEE, 4. AIPMT You have to apply separately for DASA with this details.

Candidates should have 60% marks in +2 or equivalent exam, and the candidate must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Maths in +2 or PUC course.
