Marks of each main subjects would be converted to 50 as follows. Marks obtained / 4, and the aggregate of the four subjects will be taken for ranking. The aggregate marks would be out of 200.
Maths biology group students can calculate the agriculture admission marks using the below formula.
|( Biology marks for 200 ) /4 = 50 +|
|( Maths marks for 200 ) /4 = 50 +|
|( Physics marks for 200 ) /4 = 50 +|
|( Chemistry marks for 200 ) /4 = 50|
|Total is the Cutoff /4 = 200|
Decimals of 0.25, 0.5, 0.75 in this calculation will be considered for ranking. You should not round off the cut-off marks. Your 0.25 or 0.5 or 0.75 marks might be the crucial one while considered for ranking.
In cases where more than one student have got the same marks in the common merit list, the inter se merit among such students shall be determined in the order of priority as specified below.
A. Marks in Biology or Botany and Zoology for degree programs in Faculties of Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry and Home Science
B. Marks in Mathematics for Agricultural Engineering courses
Marks in Physics
Marks in Chemistry

Tamil Nadu Agricultural University rank list will be released on the end of June 2013. The rank list of Biology and Maths groups will be released separately.
Candidates will be selected on the basis of the marks in their qualifying examination and ranked as per the procedure. Single window counseling system is being followed for all degree programs and campus allotment. Separate counseling will be held for academic and vocational stream candidates. Candidates will be called for counseling in the order of merit and communal reservation and allotment of degree / campus chosen by the candidate will be made. Candidates have to opt for degree program and campus that are available at the time of counseling. Choice onc emade at the time of counselling is final, cannot be changed.
