The council of Architecture has been constituted by the Government of India under the provisions of the Architects Act, 1972. Any person desirous of carrying on the profession of “Architect” must have registered himself with council of Architecture. There are about 450 institutions presently imparting architectural education in India.
NATA (National Aptitude Test for Architecture) is being conducted since 2006. The purpose of NATA is to provide a single scheme of examination for holding aptitude test and to facilitate prospective students all over the country to apply for admissions in architecture seats in institutions across the country and to avoid appearing in multiple aptitude tests.
In order to further strengthen the conduct of the test and to attract more number of bright aspirants into studying Architecture, COA has decided to conduct NATA as a one day paper based examination all over the country.
I am a student of School of Architecture and Planning,Anna University. I scored 144 in the NATA examination. I had no idea of getting into architecture, but the TICF seminars I attended helped me, to develop an interest in architecture. The seminar was very resourceful. The counselling sessions were even more informative, offering insights into each and every branch of higher studies. I could not have entered SAP if I didn't take guidance from TICF. I thank Nedunchezhian sir, Rajesh sir and all of TICF for their much valuable guidance throughout my preparation for the NATA exams.
