For candidates belonging to OBC Non-Creamy Layer, only 27% of the seats are reserved in all IITs and ISM Dhanbad. For the purpose of reservation of seats in JEE Advanced 2018, a candidate will be considered as OBC, only if he/she belongs to the OBC category.
In case the reserved seats in this category are not filled, they can be filled by GE category candidates.

Note: No need to enclose the OBC NCL certificate with the JEE (Main) application Confirmation Page.
State list OBC Candidates who are not in OBC-NCL central list must choose General. The OBC Creamy Layer candidates are considered as General candidates only.
An acquaintance of mine referred me to TICF. We thought of getting a second opinion before choice filling, since I had an AIR of 16971 in JEE-Advance. We were amazed by their skill and knowledge in choice filling, because getting into IIT-Kharagpur with 16k rank seemed impossible for any non-TICFian. They not only helped me land at IIT, but also educated me about the major in which I was enrolled and explained about flexibilities in IITs, further career path and options.
I suggest everyone to attend their Career Guidance programme at an early stage of 11th itself, to know the complete insights of admission process among all professions which will channelise you in a right way at right time.
TICF Admission Alert will provide crucial updates on all reputable government institutions via SMS/Email/Website.
