Those who opt for Mining Engineering and Mining Machinery courses should make sure that they do not have any form of colour blindness. They will be required to submit a certificate from a registered medical practitioner to this effect at the time of counselling/ admission. The standards of visual acuity with or without glasses will be adhered to strictly for candidates seeking admission to Mining Engineering as per DGMS Circular 14 of 1972. Persons with one-eyed vision are not permitted to work underground. Candidates with the above limitations are not allowed to opt for admission to Mining Engineering or Mining Machinery Engineering.
Female candidates are not admitted to Mining Engineering and Mining Machinery Engineering at ISM Dhanbad, whereas the corresponding programmes at IIT Kharagpur and IIT (BHU) Varanasi have no such restriction.
Non-Resident Indian NRIs and Foreign National FN and Person of Indian Origin PIOs Can apply for JEE. They must score 60% aggregate marks in their qualifying examination.

The 2011 +2 passed out students are eligible to apply for JEE main. But for JEE advanced the 2011 pass outs are not eligible.
For JEE advanced exam the 60% overall marks required in the total of the Board exam results, not only in Physics, chemistry and Maths.
For IITs the student must secure 60% as basic eligibility in 12th results, he should be in the top 20% rank of CBSE 12th results, then only he is eligible to apply for JEE advanced, provided he has to be In the top 150000 rank of JEE merit list.
You should score at least 60% of marks in your school board exam. You must be in the top 20% score of your Board results to be qualified for JEE advanced that is if 1000 students write your board for example CBSE, you must be within the top 2000 rank students. The JEE advanced exam merit list will be prepared from JEE advanced score and your board marks.

You are eligible to appear for JEE main this year. If you are appearing for improvement exams you have to write all subjects again.
The foreign nationals and the Persons of Indian Origin are eligible for JEE Main 2013, provided they must score 60% in their qualifying examination.
NRI students are eligible for JEE Main and Advacned exam. Seperate exam centers are avalibale for them to write exams in abroad.
NRIs can apply for New JEE Exams. NRI students are eligible for JEE.
The first exam of the New IIT JEE is called JEE Main, The JEE Main will be conducted on 7th April 2013 (offline) and the coming dates of April 2013 (online)
