IIT / NIT / IIIT / GFTI Admission - JEE Main / Advanced 2018

IIT, NIT Admission Process

All candidates who have appeared in JEE (Main) 2018 are eligible to register for seat allocation in NIT+ system (except IITs). All candidates who have been declared qualified in JEE (Adv) 2018 are eligible to register for seat allocation in all participating Institutes.

Counselling for IITs and NITs were done separately in 2013 and 2014. However, from 2015 onwards counselling was done jointly for the IITs and the NITs. The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) 2017 has been set up by the Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD) to manage and regulate the joint seat allocation for admissions to 97 institutes for the academic year 2017-18. This includes 23 IITs, 31 NITs, 23 IIITs and 20 Other-Government Funded Technical Institutes (Other-GFTIs). Admissions to all the academic programs offered by these Institutes are made through a single platform.

JEE Advanced AIR: 6448

My leap from Hosur to Kharagpur is made possible at TICF. In fact I gave a casual try on JEE-Paper 2 and surprisingly scored high enough to compete in JOSAA counseling. I halfheartedly competed with the hope of getting into any good IITs and TICF did an excellent job in choice filling. Currently I am into Integrated B.Arch at IIT Kharagpur. Thank You TICF.

I would recommend everyone to attend Career Guidance programme to know the complete basket of opportunities once you are in 11th or 12th itself. The Career Guidance programme will broaden your thoughts and expand your horizon.
