Ranking will be made on merit on the basis of marks obtained by the eligible candidates in the prescribed science subjects in the qualifying examinations reduced to the base of 200 marks. The marks obtained through different boards will be taken into account after Normalization.
In cases, where two or more candidates obtain equal aggregate marks for 200, the rank of such candidates shall be determined on the basis of the following order
|Name||Phy mark||Chem mark||Bio mark||Math mark||Phy cutoff||Chem cutoff||Bio cutoff||Cutoff Marks|
All the eight students have got the same cut-off marks of 199.50. All of them got centum in Biology. While we consider the Chemistry marks, the first 2 students got 200 hence they will be considered first. Among these 2 students, if we consider the Maths marks, Meera got greater marks comparing to the first 2 students.
If the 4th subject marks also same, then they consider the Date of Birth and giving preference to the one who born earlier. Even if it is similar, then they consider the higher Random number assigned by the Directorate of Medical Education, Tamil Nadu.
By this way, the ranking and merit list will be prepared on overall ranking and community based ranking for all those whoever applied for Medical Admission.
