NEET (UG) - 2018 Entrance Examination Pattern

NEET (UG) – 2018 Entrance Test is an offline examination with 180 objective type questions from the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology). 45 questions from each subject will be asked. Questions will be with four options with single correct answer.

Correct answer carries +4 Marks and there is negative mark for wrong answer (-1 Mark).

NEET Examination Schedule

NEET Examination Date: 06 May 2018 Timing: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM

The duration of paper would be 3 hours.

Candidates will not be allowed to enter in the examination centre after 09.30 a.m.

In case, candidates are coming in customary dress for appearing in the examination, they should report at least an hour before the last reporting time i.e. 9.30 AM, so that they could be frisked properly. It is desired from the candidates to follow instructions issued by the CBSE strictly, in case of dress code. This will help them in the fair conduct of examination.

Candidate will bring only the following to the examination centre:

  • Admit Card along with passport size photograph affixed on it.
  • One passport size photograph to be affixed on attendance sheet.

Candidates are not allowed to carry any material except the Admit Card and photograph inside the Examination Hall.

Pen will be provided by the centre for writing of particulars on the Test Booklet and responses on the Answer Sheet.

All rough work has to be done in the Test Booklet only. The candidate should not do any rough work or put stray mark on the machine gradable Answer Sheet.

Language of Question Papers

NEET (UG) – 2018 Entrance Test will be conducted in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Assamese, Gujarati, Bengali, Marathi, Kannada, Oriya and Urdu.

Option of medium of Question Paper should be exercised while filling in the application form and the option once exercised by candidates cannot be changed later.

Candidates opting for English would be provided Test Booklet in English only.

Candidates opting for Hindi would be provided Bilingual Test Booklet i.e. in Hindi and in English.

Candidates opting for regional languages would be provided Bilingual Test Booklet i.e. in selected regional language and in English.

In case of any ambiguity in translation of any of the questions, its English version shall be treated as final.
